Jess Kirby
Driver Profile
Jess had her first experience of karting aged 10 in 2023 in a corporate rental kart. A visit to Oulton Park in April 2024, where she saw drivers as young as 14 competing in GB3, GB4 and Ginetta Juniors, inspired her to start karting in earnest.
Jess is quickly establishing herself as one of the fastest female drivers at her age, and she has also shown across her rookie season that she has the ability to race at the front and be one of the fastest drivers overall.
Across her debut year, Jess was praised by many individuals involved in karting for displaying a high level of natural talent, and she bolsters this with an exceptional ability to take on board and implement feedback from those around her and to analyse her own performance for improvements.
With less than 18 months of racing under her belt, Jess is already competing within touching distance of the very best drivers in the country, most of whom will have many years of experience already.
2026
In 2026 Jess will be competing in the Cadet Super Light class in Club100 North and South Championships, and in Rotax Inter Max at tracks including PF International, Whilton Mill, Kimbolton and Shenington.
She has already found early success, becoming just the second female driver in the Cadet and Junior categories to take an overall Club100 podium, in the very first championship event held at the new Silverstone Kart Track, and has followed this up with another podium alongside other strong results as she looks to challenge for an overall title.
In her own kart, she is focused on developing her skills and closing the remaining gap to those at the front as she races amongst some of the very best drivers in the country.
She is also broadening her skill set via Sim Racing, primarily on iRacing and is already rapidly improving and racing at a high standard.
2025
Jess had a very promising first year racing competitively in 2025.
She became Vice Champion in both the Daytona Tamworth InKart Championship and the female-only Jamie Chadwick Series, with some strong drives throughout both championships.
She competed in her first Club100 races during this year, winning the Top Rookie award on her debut at GYG, and finishing 20th overall with solid progress throughout.
In the Daniel Ricciardo Series, Jess had some strong performances on the way to 13th overall.
She passed her ARKS test which allowed her to start testing and compete in her first race meeting in Rotax Inter Max.
Throughout the year, she showed glimpses of real talent, that became increasingly common as her consistency and racecraft improved across the year.
